Our role is to support No. 2 (Hutt City) Squadron through:
providing accommodation and equipment for the unit to operate,
fundraising to provide for equipment and activities,
funding activities such as flying and training,
administering the finances, and
developing the annual plan with the Unit Commander
This friendly group meets monthly (the second Thursday of the month), and alway welcomes new members. Members are generally parents of cadets and interested members of the community.
Members fulfil the following roles: Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, Community Engagement, Building Manager, Fundraising & Grants, and General Member.
Recent activities include successful grant applications for first aid training and tramping equipment, funding a new set of radios, and organising fundraising activities such as Quiz Nights and Movie Nights.
The committee is supported by Petone RSA, and a representative generally attends our monthly meetings.
